I have a confession to make, and honestly I’m a little embarrassed admit it.
When I put together these pattern round ups, I often pull from sources that give an affiliate commission when you purchase their pattern.
The result of that is I sometimes include patterns that are fine but not the best, in hopes that I might make an extra couple dollars.
I also don’t include a lot of patterns I might otherwise because there’s no financial incentive. That’s just not right.
So first let me apologize.
My goal with the Yarnist is to provide you with useful resources that help you become a more fearless knitter.
While it is my full time job to write this newsletter, I’m not doing my job when I prioritize affiliate commissions over your best interests.
There are tons of great patterns out there that I could be promoting, and at times I haven’t done that for the wrong reasons.
I’m sorry and starting today I’m going to change that.
From now on I will only be choosing projects because they’re genuinely great, not because they give a commission.
I may still include patterns from our affiliate partners from time to time, but ONLY if they are really great projects and I will label when there is an affiliate link.
